Modified Tour action returns to Pittsburgh's Pennsylvania Motor
Speedway this Friday, September 16th, as part of the 23rd Annual
Tri-Star Pittsburgher. The "Tour" stars will battle in a 30-lap
feature event with the winner taking home the $1,500.00 first
place prize money. In addition, speedway management will start
up to 32 cars in the main event with each competitor receing a
minimum of $200.00 to start.
In the Modisaurus III event held at PPMS in May New Brighton
veteran Kevin Bolland scored a convincing victory over Jeremiah
Shingledecker, Chad Homan, Brian Swartzlander and Rex King, Sr.

King, Sr. has never won a feature event here
at "Dirt's Monster Half Mile" but he is the current Series'
points leader over Bolland, second generation competitor Dave
Murdick, New York "invader" Brian Weaver and Shingledecker.
Kevin Hoffman, Rex King, Jr., J.R. McGinley, Mark Frankhouser
and Brad Rapp are also expected to be in action this Friday.
Friday night's racing action will feature a complete show for
the Super Late Models as they will
compete in the "i-Monster." This will be a full racing program
with a 33-lap feature paying $2,000.00 to win. The feature will
not award UFo points, but will award ULMS points.
Qualifying events for the Pro-Lates, UEMS E-Mods, Cadets, Hobby
Stocks and Roadrunners will also take place Friday evening.
Pit gates for Friday's racing action will
open at 3:00 PM with grandstand gates opening at 5:00. Warm-ups
will begin at 6:00PM followed by racing at 7:00 PM. Adult
admission is $20.00, Juniors ages13-16 are $15.00 and Children
7-12 are $10.00. Pit Admission for Friday is $38.00.
Two-day combo tickets for both Friday and Saturday will be
available. The cost for a Two-Day Grandstand Admission is
$45.00 and a Two-Day Pit Admission is $70.00.
Unlimited Free Camping is available on the speedway grounds.
Fans are also invited to bring their own refreshments; however,
no glass bottles or alcoholic beverages are permitted to be
brought in. In addition, coolers are limited to 14 inches or
smaller. Alcohol beverages can be purchased at Ed's Pub, which
is located below the main grandstand. Proper photo ID is
required to purchase alcoholic beverages.
