Motordrome Speedway held it's 4th annual Fall Festival featuring the Piney Lasky Memorial, a 100-lap race for the Late Models at the 1/2 mile oval in Smithton, PA. Also on the card was the first-ever appearance of the alcohol-burning, fire-breathing, ground pounding Midwest Supermodified Association, running a 50-lap finale, a 40 lap feature for the Motordrome Modifieds, and a 40-lapper for the track's Street Stocks. Raceway was there for the first-time since the track was dirt and below are photos by Jay Pees.

Stan Lasky wishes a safe and competitive race to pole-sitter Jimmy Carter, who went on to lead all 100 laps under constant pressure from Bobby Henry and late in the race from eventual second-running Nathan Russell, who had started from the ninth berth.

A lengthy rain delay at lap 7 had street cars on the track for over two hours. After the street cars had the track nearly dry the competitors donned their practice tires and finished the track drying process. Here Jason Lasky, who eventually was credited with 28th, does his part.
Eventual winner Jimmy Carter leads Bob Henry. Henry ran a close second most of the race until spinning on lap 97 after contact with another competitor.
Dusty Rhoads (23) wound up 28th while Norm Taylor (5) was 23rd.
Barry Awtey wound up third. Awtey is the 2011 Motordrome champion.
North Carolina's Michael Pilla (4) was the fastest qualifier, started tenth and rapidly came through the field, here passing Jeff Brown, who finished eighth. At lap 97, trying for second place, made contact with Bobby Henry with the result being Henry's spinning out, collecting his teammate Garry Wiltrout. Pilla was charged with rough driving and sent to the rear of the field. In the remaining three lap dash, Pilla worked his way back to 14th, one spot behind Wiltrout. Henry wound up 17th.
Garry Wiltrout ran third much of the event until the fracas three laps from the end.
Sam Fullone, former Hooter's Cup competitor, made his first trip to Motordrome the week before and won the feature, then ran fifth in the Piney Lasky Memorial.

Scott Aiello wound up second at the end of the forty laps.
Christopher Knight (76), in only his second start ever, drove an excellent race. Here, he and Bill Ashton (35) race side by side for several laps before Knight was able to seal the deal.
