Raceway Magazine's Jared Kane attended the World of Outlaws Late Model Series "Oil Region Labor Day Classic"at Tri-City Speedway Labor Day Weekend.  Here are his photos of the Saturday night Late Model action.

Dave Hess Jr slides underneath Chris Hackett to take the spot.

 

Robbie Blair leading, would end up winning the first heat race.

 

Dave Scott (3) and Darrell Lanigan (29) raced door to door for a few laps during their heat race.

Scott would prevail with the heat race win.

 

Gregg Satterlee (22) and Mike Knight (9k) race each other in their heat.

Both made the feature with Knight picking up a top ten finish.

 

Max Blair (Won11 M) races down low against Ryan Scott (0s).

 

Rick Eckert (left) and Jeremy Miller (right) battled side-by-side for a couple of laps.

Miller unfortunately broke on the first lap in the feature and did not return.

 

Matt Urban had a wild ride in his 1U late model. He rolled it in turns 1 and 2 destroying his car.

He would later return in his backup car for the B-main but would miss the feature.

 

Chub Frank would win the 3rd and final heat race for the WoO Dirt Late Models.

 

Max Blair (won11 M) and Gary Lyle (10) had a hard fought battle for a few laps.

Unfortunately neither made the feature on night #1.

Drivers give the fans a four-wide solute before the drop of the green flag.

 

Robbie Blair (won11) and Shane Clanton (25) were door-to-door for the first few laps.

Blair would lead laps 1-11 rocketing off of the high side before surrendering the lead to Clanton

who would lead the next eight laps.

 

Shane Clanton (25) would slide up in front of Robbie Blair (won11) on the 12th circuit and assume the lead.

 

Chub Frank (1*) and Boom Briggs (99B), long time friends and cousins raced each other hard and clean.

Frank got the better of Briggs this time with his pass here and eventual runner-up finish.

Briggs would go on to finish the race in a disappointing 22nd place after starting 14th.

 

Dan Stone (21) makes it three wide with Brent Rhebergen (07) and Rick Eckert (24).

Stone would record his best WoO finish coming in at the 7th position after starting 14th.

 

Near the end of the race Robbie Blair (won11) and Josh Richards (1) would have a hard fought battle for the 5th spot.

Blair would nose ahead at the finish to round out the top 5.

 

Steve Francis (15) would complete his pass of the lapped car Dutch Davies (40).

Francis would go on to win the 'Oil Region Labor Day Classic' Night 1 A-main Feature.

Francis pulled away from the rest of the field of challengers and

in doing so he padded his lead in the WoO points standings.
