The FASTRAK Touring Series was at McKean County Raceway on June 30 with the second leg of the Bully Dog Speedweek. Your editor was there and send these photos for your perusal. There are several non-qualifiers shown below. You editor feels these guys need some exposure along with the usual up-front runners. Most non-qualifiers are very good racers in usual competition. Everyone has an 'off' night and some of these guys just learning will eventually be at the front of the field.
Matt Cobb had a miserable night. The local favorite did not qualify for the A-Main and was unable to start the non-qualifier's event.
T J Downes wound up eighth in the non-qualifier's race.
Steve Dixon, former Super Stock Champion, had problems in the feature, was finally 19th in the standings for the feature.
Dixon's problems in the feature included an errant right rear axel that broke loose, triggering this spin.
John Volpe won his B-Main and advanced to 13th in the feature.
Rising young start Chad Wright was third in the non-qualifier's race.
Mike Mitchell (19) did not start the non-qualifier's event and 14 year old Clay Ruffo was fourth in that race.
Junior Peters was unable to start the non-qualifier's race.
The veteran John Haggerty made the A-Main and finished seventh.
Brian Haggerty did not make the A-Main, finished fifth in the Non-qualifier's race, won by Justin Tatlow, (50).
Mike Pegher Jr is two for two in 2011 at McKean County Raceway, and both touring events.
Max Blair, the dominant driver in the series was only able to capture a second place finish in the feature.
Half Pint Damien Bidwell made the feature and drove to a fourth place finish.
