13TH ANNUAL BIG BLOCK MODIFIED SHOWDOWN AT SUNDOWN PLUS HUGE FIREWORKS DISPLAY TO HIGHLIGHT THE HOLIDAY SPECTACULAR AT FULTON SPEEDWAY THIS SATURDAY, JULY 3RD

FULTON, NY… The 13th Annual DIRTcar Big Block Modified Showdown at Sundown plus a huge fireworks display will highlight the Holiday Spectacular at Fulton Speedway this Saturday, July 3. Also in competition will be the DIRTcar Sportsman, Late Models, Novice Sportsman and Gladiators. All those ages 18 and under will still be admitted for free even with the Holiday Weekend special event being presented. Race time is set for 6:45 p.m. with the rain delayed Novice Sportsman and Gladiator features from June 19 starting the evening off.

Jimmy Phelps and Dale Planck have both won a pair of DIRTcar Big Block Modified features this season at Fulton Speedway. Alan Johnson and Chad Phelps are the only other winners this season in the highly competitive division. Billy Decker, Matt Sheppard, Pat Ward, Tom Sears, Ryan Phelps, Jim Witko, Michael Storms, Chuck Bower, Larry Wight and Rich Scagliotta are just some of the drivers still looking to enter the winners circle and hope to do so this Saturday at the completion of the 45-lap event.

Jeremy Pitcher is the current point leader in the SUNY Canton DIRTcar Sportsman division. Jordan Bennett, Tim Sears Jr., Tom Juhl and Beth Schneider complete the top five to date. Tim Devendorf and Larry Wight are the top two in the current NAPA Late Model standings with two victories each. Colton Donath and Scott Kline are the top two to date in the E&V Energy standings. Keith Zirbel owns the point lead in the Gladiator rankings.

The Novice Sportsman and Gladiators will compete in double features after their events were washed out back on June 19. Adult admission for the Holiday Spectacular is only $15. All youngsters 18 years of age and under will be admitted for free in what promises to be a great night of family entertainment.

Fulton Speedway gates on Saturday, July 3 will open at 5 p.m. Race competition will start at 6:45 p.m. For more information please go on line to www.fultonspeedway.com. The track office number is 315-593-6531 with the race line reached at 668-RACE. The track is located at 1603 County Route 57 in Fulton.
