JoAnne Clinger Memorial for E-Mods, Fireworks Highlight Fourth of July at Eriez!
Hammett, PA (June 29, 2010) - The Plyler Overhead Door E-Mods will be in the spotlight this Sunday at Eriez Speedway as the open wheel mud-slingers will compete for $1500 to win in a memorial to JoAnne Clinger, who, along with her husband Jim, owned and built some of the top-running E-Mods ever to race in this area. Heat racing will set the starting field with a "Dash for Cash" paying $200 to win for the top runners in the heats. Along with the E-Mods, the Mill Run Collision Street Stocks will contest their rained-out $500 to win feature. The Boardwalk Bar and Grill Limited Late Models will run their annual Burger King of the Hill, a series of one-on-one match races to determine who is Burger King's King of the Hill. Capping off the evening will be a giant fireworks display, traditional for the Independence Day weekend at Eriez Speedway. Rain checks from last week (June 27) plus $3.00 (due to specials) will be honored. Eriez Speedway is located on Sampson Road, just off Lake Pleasant Road in the town of Hammet, PA, 3 miles south of Interstate 90.
