Little Valley to Host Summer Late Model Special (Little Valley, NY) On Saturday, July 17th, Little Valley Speedway, the fast ½ mile dirt oval, located on the Cattaraugus County Fairgrounds on Rt. 353 in Little Valley, NY, will present the Summer Late Model Special, sponsored by Emerling Ford/Emerling/Chevrolet. The Super Late Models, vying for a $3000 payoff, will headline a dynamite card, which will include the BRP Can Am 360 Late Models Series Brock Young Memorial, paying $1422 to win. Also, recently announced, the UEM Series will sanction a $1,000 to win E-Mod event and the Street Stocks will race for a $500 first place check. It will also be the popular Racing Legends Night, when former racers will be honored. Competition has been fierce in 2010. At the midpoint in the season, veteran Dick Barton leads Jason Dupont by a mere three points in the Super Lates, while Bryce Davis and Bruce Miller are tied atop the 360 Late Model standings. Rich Michael and Tim Peterson lead the E-Mods, while two-time winner Chris Austin leads Rick Wojtowicz and Dan Giboo in the Street Stocks. Little Valley Speedway is conveniently located just several miles north of the Salamanca exit of I-86 and eight miles from the resort town of Ellicottville. Other nearby attractions are the Seneca Casino and Allegheny State Park. The track features a covered grandstand with stadium seats, free camping with hookups, and some of the best food in racing. Adult admission is $14, with those under 12 admitted free. Gates open at 3:00, with racing at 7:00. Rain date for this event is July 18th. The next event on the schedule is Sunday, September 5th at 6:30, which will feature the WNY Super Late Model Labor Day Coca Cola Classic.
