Trevor Bayne ran well all week and pulled an unbelievable upset at the conclusion of the Daytona 500.  Raceway has been aware of this kid for several years now, including photos of him in galleries from Hooters Cup races in Mansfield, OH in 2006 and 07.

Carl Edwards, in the Roush-Fenway Ford was second at the end.

David Gilliland ran a great race all day and completed a Ford 1-2-3 finish.

2000 Winston Cup Champion Bobby Labonte, now driving a Toyota, came home fourth in an excellent run.

Kurt Busch, in new livery, finished out a great week in 5th position after running strong all day.

Juan Pablo Montoya ran steady all day and was rewarded with a sixth place finish.

Regan Smith was the class of the field all day, racing very smartly.  Regan finished seventh after a late race incident.

Kyle Busch recovered from an early race spin and finished eighth.

Paul Menard got a ninth in his first run for famed owner Richard Childress.

Back in the '70s in ASA competition Mark Martin was known as "The Kid", now he's "The Old Man".  Mark has shown a lot of "kids" the fast way around a racetrack.  AT Daytona this year he finished the day with a tenth, the best of the Hendrick team.
