Rain Ends Roaring Knob Night MARKLEYSBURG, PA (August 27, 2011) – Hurricane Irene sent some rain into Markleysburg after all the qualifying heats were completed on Saturday night. Promoter Rick Jones tried to get the track back into shape but just could not get the track safe enough and was forced to cancel the rest of the show. All five features will be made up Saturday, September 3. After all the features are run another complete show will be run. Highlighting the make-up features will be the Ft. Necessity Chargers in a 25-lap feature event paying them a double purse. The American Racer Tire Super Late Models, Krause Electric FASTRAK Late Models, TC Race Car Parts Street Stocks and FWD 4-Cylinder Roadrunners will also run their feature events. After the five features are completed Roaring Knob Motorsports Complex will start a complete show featuring the American Racer Tire Super Late Models, Krause Electric FASTRAK Late Models, TC Race Car Parts Street Stocks, Ft. Necessity Garage Chargers, AMRA Modifieds and FWD 4-Cylinder Roadrunners. |
